I will be attending RBI’s Lounge 8th Annual BBQ Cook Off. The 8th Annual Cook Off is benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Join us for a day of BBQ, Raffles, Silent Auction, Food, Drinks, and fun for the whole family!
Pancake Dinner
I will be stopping by the Pancake Dinner on September 19 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First Christian Church in Lathrop.
This community event is being offered as a free-will donation fundraiser and is a great opportunity to come together with friends and neighbors while supporting a local organization. I look forward to visiting with attendees and supporting the important work being done in our community.

Festival Schedule & Highlights
Dates: Wednesday, October 7 – Sunday, October 11, 2026 (Main Day on Sat, Oct 10)
Theme: Happy Birthday America (Red, White, and Blue apparel encouraged)
Main Attractions: Traditional parade, carnival area, vendor rows, local games, and live entertainment.
Location: Downtown Plattsburg, MO (Main Street and 2nd Street areas)
Holt Meet and Greet
Come meet your hometown candidates at Holt Veterans Memorial Hall on Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 pm! Both candidates will give a short speech and take questions.
Fiesta Friday
I will be stopping by Fiesta Friday in Cameron. I am looking forward to stopping by the Cameron Regional YMCA's Fiesta Friday Ribbon Cutting and Senior Meal Program Fundraiser on August 21 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Cameron Activity Center.
This community event will feature a ribbon cutting celebration, taco bar, desserts, drinks, and an opportunity to support the YMCA Senior Meal Program.
If you are planning to attend, I hope to see you there and visit with members of the community before the Dragons take the field at the Jamboree.
$10 per person with 5 years old and under free.
Meet and Greet
Come meet your hometown candidates at Gower City Park on Thursday, August 20 at 7:00 pm! Both candidates will give a short speech and take questions. Bring a lawn chair and all your pressing questions!
American Legion Auxiliary Walking Tacos
I will be stopping by the American Legion Auxiliary Walking Taco Night on August 15 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the American Legion in Plattsburg.
This community event will feature walking tacos served by the American Legion Auxiliary, with the Legion remaining open until 10:00 PM. I look forward to supporting our local veterans' organizations, connecting with community members, and visiting with those in attendance.
If you are planning to attend, I hope you will stop by and say hello. I always enjoy the opportunity to hear from residents and support the organizations that help make our communities strong.
P.E.O. Chapter DF, Plattsburg Fundraiser
I will be attending the P.E.O. Books and Bites Event. The P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards. loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate each other to achieve their highest aspirations. Join us at our first Books and Bites Fundraiser with only $10 entrance fee. Cash and checks only.
Bum's Charities Annual Car Show
I will be stopping by the 11th A Bums Charities Auto, Truck & Bike Show on August 15 in Plattsburg. This annual event honors members of the military, first responders, and veterans while bringing together vehicle enthusiasts from across the region. Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of classic and modern cars, trucks, motorcycles, awards presentations, vendors, food, and community fellowship throughout the day.

National Night Out
I will be attending the National Night Out. Bring the family, meet your local first responders, enjoy great food and activities, and help make it a great night for the people who are always there when we need them.

Freedom Festival Parade
Freedom Festival Parade. Parade route: Floats assemble and line up starting at 4th and Cherry Streets at approximately noon. Parade will go east on 4th Street to Walnut, turn south on Walnut to 3rd Street, west on 3rd to Chestnut and end at Recreation Park.

Plattsburg Main Street Stroll
I will have a booth where I’ll be meeting and greeting attendees. The 7th Annual Main Street Stroll will transform downtown Plattsburgh into a lively destination. As you stroll down Main Street, you’ll meet the people behind the pours, explore 70+ craft vendors and charming local shops, and indulge in savory bites and sweet treats from food trucks and local eateries, all set to the backdrop of live entertainment, incredible flavors, and a vibrant atmosphere.
Democrat Committee Social
Join us for a great evening with candidates in attendance! Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Be sure to come early and enjoy delicious cheesecake from Gina’s Italian Pastas.
Bowling Fundraiser
Join us for a fun, community bowling fundraiser to support the campaign of Haleigh Karl featuring three games in a handicap format designed for all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned bowler or just in it for the fun. Entry is $35 per bowler, with a $400 prize pool awarded to the top three finishers and the remaining proceeds supporting the campaign. We will also have a 50/50 raffle during the event. This is a BYOA event (bring your own alcohol), and a hot dog, chips, and pop combo will be available for $5. With only 24 spots available, be sure to sign up early and come enjoy a relaxed evening of friendly competition and community support!

Friday, Dec. 5th
Join us downtown from 4:00–8:30pm for holiday fun. Kids’ activities, train rides, scavenger hunt, games, shopping, food, Santa’s visit, the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, and the Lighted Christmas Parade!
Saturday, Dec. 6th
Festivities continue 9:00am–4:00pm with more shopping, food, kids’ activities, train rides, Santa photos, and holiday fun throughout downtown.
The 2025 Festival of Trees
Community voting will take place November 20 – December 18.
Visitors will vote for their favorite trees using festive jingle bells, and the winner will be announced on December 18.
